A Note from MPC on Giving Tuesday

Since 2013, you have known us as a Camp. The Madam President Camp.

For the first decade, we poured our energy into an inspiring camp experience that supported middle school girls on their journey through leadership and civic engagement. We opened our campers’ eyes to all they could do, overcome, and influence. We inspired future student council presidents, business owners, advocates, and maybe even a Madam President.

And, we knew, through research, we created something impactful.

And now, as we plan for the next decade of work, we are redefining the word camp. We are no longer simply a 5-day summer camp experience…

We are a movement.

We are not simply delivering a camp; we are building a camp. A camp of girls, parents, caregivers, and community members who are committed to growing a future generation of women leaders.

While we will always offer our Summer Madam President Camp Program, this year we began offering additional programs and resources. Of note…

• Our newsletter shares opportunities to be civically engaged in the Kansas City community through volunteer and educational events.

• We are offering workshops and mini-camps designed to reinforce important topics of leadership, confidence, and civic engagement for our future, current, and alumni campers.

• MPC community events focused on educating parents and supporters on the tools and tactics to grow future female leaders, are actively in development.

We are excited to bring Madam President Camp to the next generation of young women as we strive to be the pre-eminent leadership development program for middle school girls in the KC metro area.
