FAQs

What is The Curriculum for madam president camp?

The Madam President Camp experience gives girls an opportunity to gain confidence and leadership skills in an interactive camp experience. We focus on learning the foundational skills necessary for them to lead our future communities. Girls begin the week gaining a clear understanding of leadership and civic engagement to outline their civic goals and align themselves with areas of activism relevant in their community. They practice how to communicate those goals and topics and lastly, through self-discovery, create a path to their own personal action.

Campers have used their experiences to run for student council, start a cupcake business and even create a public awareness campaign for cleaner rivers.

As a camper, what will i learn?

Campers tell us this experience builds confidence. “If you want to put yourself out there, you can do anything,” says one enthusiastic camper. Another camper used her experience to run (and win) a position with her student council. We work with campers to hone their public speaking skills, how to collaborate and work with others and get the chance to meet awesome women mentors and role models.

What Ages can Attend Camp?

Camp is for girls ages 11-13. For summer camps, this means enrollment is open to those going into 6th, 7th, and 8th grades.
